Pass the birthday cake, it’s time to celebrate! Mazillo is two today. That’s two whole years of reviving traditional remedies and innovating skincare science, to transform the way you care for your skin.

With a unique mix of traditional wisdom and cutting-edge biotechnology, we’ve developed 5 products that tackle a range of skincare concerns so you can feel confident in the skin you’re in. 

But it’s not just about the results. With natural, ethically sourced ingredients and a dedication to sustainability, we hope to empower you to care for the planet too.

Whether you’ve been with us from the start or have only just started your journey to healthy skin, we’re happy to have you here.  It’s been a whirlwind two years, so let’s look back at our favourite parts!

It all started here…

Our story starts in our homeland, Bulgaria, surrounded by our family and friends.

We – Mihaela and Yoana - met in 1996 and instantly became inseparable. We spent our childhoods hearing our grandmothers talk of the great power of natural ingredients and watched them create remedies at home.

We travelled, studied, and lived abroad, but a part of our hearts always stayed in beautiful Bulgaria. This is when the seed for Mazillo started; we needed to share our heritage with the rest of the world! 

Fast forward a few decades, and that seed started to grow. In December 2021, after a year and a half in the making, we launched our business. With modern skincare science, we were able to create 5 innovative products that elevated traditional remedies for the best possible results.

But that was only the start…

We attended events and pop-ups

While all the glossy mags and TV chats were great, what we’ve loved more than anything is seeing all your gorgeous faces, all around the globe.

We’ve been loud about the things that matter to us and shared our love for the planet at London’s Just V Show and The Sustainability Show. Closer to home, we’ve attended the Sustainable Living Expo + Beauty Days Expo in Serdika Shopping Mall – to mention a few!

We got to show off our products in real life too, at our 1-month summer pop-up in Sofia Ring Mall, the Sofia Summer Fest pop-up, and our blooming lovely pop-up collab with O’Fleur flower arrangement. 

If you’ve not had the chance to meet us yet, don’t worry we’ll be doing another Christmas pop-up in Sofia this weekend (9th-10th December 11:00-16:00, 6 Murgash Str). Come and say hi!

We’ve made every batch from the heart

We may have grown fast, but we’re proud to say we’ve never forgotten our roots. We’ve kept our feet firmly planted on the floor and continued to manufacture new product batches ourselves (which is rare for most skincare companies!).  

From sourcing all our ingredients locally, formulating, manufacturing, and packaging, to our marketing, we’ve done it all, all whilst making sure we’re ethical and sustainable every step of the way.

And we’re not done yet…

Phew! We’ve packed a lot into these two years, and we are so proud of everything we’ve achieved…but we’re only just getting started!

Now we’ve been working very hard behind the scenes to develop a new skincare science product that will launch in 2024.
